I’ve never used allspice before these muffins, and I am now a convert. What a perfect taste, perfect combo! I can’t wait to try it again.

Also, I’m enamoured of your spice containers. When I get less broke, I will think on them harder.

i’ve only used allspice in my jerk marinade, so having it front in center in a baked good was a first for me. I’m so glad I made these, as it was such a flavorful surprise!

I definitely agree about not skimping on the streusel. I packed the entire amount into 8 jumbo muffins…YUM!

You know, every time I see your comments, it reminds me I wanted to mention something… I don’t know if you know this, but when I click on your name (when you’ve commented on my blog) and it takes me to your Blogger profile, it doesn’t show a link back to your site. Maybe you want it that way? I dunno. It just makes it a little harder to find you and comment back. I remember making a note of your blog quite a while ago, so I know how to find you. Your basket of muffins looks so delicious. This was my first time using allspice, so I’ll have to look at the recipes in your spice library to see what else I can make with it.

That’s funny about your note. Sometimes I write myself a note like that and it’s still hard to follow my own advice!

I also used all of my buttery topping even though I thought it was a bit too much. They tasted delicious!
